IVF LAB DIRECTOR PRASHAN MAHARAJ
IT’S OK TO BE SCARED. BEING SCARED MEANS YOU’RE ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING REALLY, REALLY BRAVE.
Prashan has been working at the Sandton Fertility Centre since 2011 and has over 11 years of experience in the field of assisted reproduction. He completed his BSc in Microbiology and Physiology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2005. Then went on to complete a Diploma and BTech in Clinical Technology at the Durban University of Technology in 2008 and 2010 respectively, majoring in Reproductive Biology. During this time he joined the Pretoria Academic Hospital for the IVF internship training programme.
Prashan has engaged in furthering his education, by gaining a Masters Degree in Human Reproduction at the University of Valencia in Spain.
Prashan is fuelled by his passion for understanding the processes involved in assisted reproduction and considers himself a ‘forever student,’ eager to both build on his academic foundations and stay in tune with the latest technology, strategies and trends in IVF. His hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into action has contributed to the growing success at Sandton Fertility.
